Aasleagh Falls on the Erriff river, just outside of Leenane. May be familiar to those who have seen “The Quiet Man”, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. There’s usually a few people angling here – not today. Really nice spot even if it is just over the border into Mayo! Well close enough to the border to make it into the Galway set.
