Here’s a capture of the gorgeous M45 cluster (“the Pleiades” or “Seven Sisters”) taken last November. Showing up quite a bit of nebulosity in here. One of my favourite objects, even without telescopic aid. One of the jewels of the sky and very prominent in the eastern sky at the moment in the constellation of Taurus.
The blue hue is a reflection nebula cause by local interstellar dust reflecting the light from the clusters massive blue stars. Pretty close at “only” around 400 light years distance.
